Garmin 2007 In-Car Sat Nav Product Guide

Here We Show You The Differences And Help You Choose Which Is The Best Satellite Navigator For You.

Garmin have produced an excellent and extensive range of Sat Nav in 2007, and now that it appears that all the new models are out in the shops it's time for a comparison guide to help you choose the right one for you.

Please note that if speed-camera POI's are included with the device you still have to subscribe if you want to keep them up-to-date. Although free in the UK TMC Traffic information has subscription costs in other countries. When we refer to "Bluetooth Hands Free" we are talking about the ability of the device to pair with a compatible mobile / cell phone to receive or make phone calls without you having to touch the phone itself.

For several of their models Garmin have produced a wide screen version. This makes entering destinations easier for those with larger fingers and you get more of the map to see, but they are bigger, and I think the normal size screens are more than adequate, but please look at both and make your own decision. (The widescreens are very cool though...)

We have only picked out the most obvious features that we think will influence which model to buy, but all have extra features. Check out the official Garmin Site for full specifications.

Comments / Questions:

The power lead for my nuvi 250 will not fit the cig lighter but will fit the socket in the rear of my nissan.what do i need for it to fit the cig lighter. J S.

Get a cigar lighter extender / splitter lead, Halfords sell loads of different types. Take your power lead with you to see which one fits the best. Or just run off the battery and charge up via a mini usb and your PC.

Is it possible to buy and install a Sat Nav in my motorhome, such that it will display through the reversing camera screen? Richard.

You''ll be going for a professionally fitted, dashmounted system with a pop-out display, see these links:
