Book Reviews

Book reviews and articles are a paricular passion of mine, but I don't get as much time as I'd like to spend reading and enjoying the written word. I guess I'm just a frustrated writer and will have to make do with writing this website and adding more content.....

If you'd like to submit an original book review for inclusion please contact me.

Dont Stop Me NowDon't Stop Me Now by Jeremy Clarkson Funny compilation of articles from the Top Gear presenters Car Review Column, that are more about his views on the world than anything on four wheels. Good though.

History of BritainAn Utterly Impartial History of Britain Very funny book that takes us from ancient times to 1945, with plenty of laughs along the way.

The Dark RiverThe Dark River Sci-fi / fantasy novel about a man who can travel to different realities, protected by a sword-wielding "Harlequin" and chased by cctv driven mercenaries... in the present day. Actually, its very good.

Writing A Better Review. Lets face it, the reviews below are rubbish. Time for a quick bit of research so I can improve my technique.

Deception Point by Dan Brown A great thriller that has us wondering if all of NASA's discoveries are true...

Race to Dakar by Charley Boorman is a riveting read about his attempt on the famous Dakar Rally.

London Bridges by James Patterson Alex Cross returns to cross swords with The Wolf and The Weasel (yes really..) in this thriller.

Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. A great thriller about the threat an unbreakable code would pose to the NSA and National Security.

Who Moved My Cheese? A great book about dealing with change in our lives, be it business or personal.

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. Superior to the Da Vinci code, this is a good thriller for the occasional reader.

Man Overboard by Tim Binding. A fictional account of what might have been in Cmmdr Crabbs life, before and after he disappeared under a Russian Warship in 1956.

Gunslinger Series A look at Stephen Kings masterful series, years in the making, these books will not disapoint.

Dreamweaver MX Bible This book helped me make the switch from Frontpage to Dreameaver, maybe it could help you too.

Photoshop Elements Solutions Got Photoshop Elements? Get this book to help you master the basics.

First Light One RAF Fighter Pilots story set at the beginning of WWII.

Nam Mark Bakers record of the experiences of Veterans from the Vietnam War is a must read.

Rise & Fall of 3rd Reich William Shirers work on Hitler and Nazi Germany is one of the best.

First Blood David Morrells work goes beyond the film - read it and be enthralled. Star Wars Omnibus Re-live the magic of the first 3 films in print.
