How to Lose Weight and Still Eat Burgers!!

I've lost almost 2 stone since Christmas, and I thought I'd share with you my no-diet diet, it might work for you, but it no way am I saying that this is a nutritionally balanced diet and you should always consult your doctor before embarking on losing weight.

In trying to lose a few pounds, I have tried loads of things. Calorie counting, low-fat and the Atkins. My favourite was the Atkins low carb diet, where you get to eat loads of meat and few vegetables! But after a while you get sick of bacon and eggs, my breath started to stink even more than usual, and its very expensive.

I stumbled upon the W-Plan diet quite by accident. I work in a shop doing long hours, and often I can't be bothered to make any sandwiches in the morning. I used to nip to the local supermarket for a couple of packs of sandwiches, but I've just moved location next to a Burger King! (The W of W-Plan diet is Whopper.)

After a few months I noticed I was losing weight, but I hadn't really changed my eating habits or started doing any more exercise. Strange! So I sat down and listed what I was eating, and how that was different to what I had been eating. The answers were quite surprising .

What I found was that 3 working days out of 5 I was buying lunch from Burger King, and as I only take a few minutes lunch I don't bother with a meal, just the burger. The burger I had been eating was the Whopper (without cheese) because it had been on offer at only £1.99. I had also always been having a bowl of porridge (with sugar) every morning where previously I had been eating toast with butter. I was eating more fruit, with a banana for morning snack and usually an apple for the afternoon. In the evening I was just eating what the family was having, and we all eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables with hearty home cooked meals. I was still having my night-time snacks of ice-cream, crisps or chocolate bars. Drink wise I hadn't had sugar in my coffee or tea since going on the Atkins last year, and I always have Diet Coke or Pepsi Max (or water with Squash).

So these little changes had made me lose weight, and it might work for you. So what do you have to do?

Every day have cereal for breakfast. Porridge, Weetabix, Shredded Wheat, and you can sprinkle sugar on too.

3 working days out of 5 get yourself a burger, no cheese, a double if you want, but no fries and the drink has to be diet.

Have a piece of fruit for morning and afternoon snacks.

Always drink diet beverages.

Lose sugar from your tea & coffee.

Eat normally at all other times.

My job involves lugging lots of stock around (good exercise), so if you don't do much now, aim to get sweaty at least once a day.

That's it! See if it works for you. Please don't stay on this diet for more than a month, and if you feel any side-effects see a doctor immediately.
