Cheap Cappuccino's From Instant Coffee & Milk - At Last!
Now I like coffee. I like cappuccinos. But I don't like paying coffee house prices, or the prices for home substitutes, so when I saw the adverts for the new Breville Instant Coffee Cappuccino maker, I thought great, cheap Cappuccinos at home using only milk & instant coffee. Perfect!
Rushing down to Argos with some Christmas vouchers in my sweaty palm, I bought the Breville for £39.99, took it home & plugged it in.
At this point my darling wife reminded me to read the instructions, which includes giving the device a thorough cleaning to remove anything left over from the manufacturing process.
With the Breville Instant Coffee Cappuccino Maker clean & sparkling, the next step was to fill it with water, put the milk jug under the tube, put a few spoons of coffee in the hopper, then wait for the blue light to come on.
When it's ready to go, all you have to do is turn the handle to the right to dispense the coffee, then all the way to the left, and the machine sputters & spurts into life.
Does it make a good cappuccino? Definitely yes, sprinkle some chocolate on the top and it's almost perfect. After a couple of weeks of coffee making we've found that it can be inconsistent. Sometimes the first coffee out isn't very frothy, but the rest are ok. Also, it's a bit of a pain to clean, but time will tell.
Overall it's a thumbs up for the Breville CM8 Instant Coffee Cappuccino Maker.
