My Video From The HMS Sultan Summer Show in 2006
Every year, the Royal Naval School of Marine Engineering, HMS Sultan, holds a Summer show to raise money for charities, and they put on a great show, with displays of Field Gun runs, dog-trainers, aircraft, and this year they had the "Flying Gunners" the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team.
Being a particularly hot and dry summer in Gosport, the display arena was very slippy, and the riders had some difficulty getting traction for the bigger jumps, but they wowed the crowd with their showmanship & professionalism.
All the riders are taken from the Royal Artillery, and after training stay in the team for between 2 and 4 years, so if you get the chance check them out at the many different shows they appear in over the summer.
The video was taken on my mini-digital camera, so the quality isn't that great, but it should give you a feeling for what the event was like.
